Randy Troutman to discuss ISO 11607 at MD&M West, February 2007
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA...Randy Troutman, Oliver Medical senior engineering manager, will join a panel discussion regarding the implementation of ISO 11607 at the 2007 Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West conference on Thursday, February 15, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. as part one of session 402, Medical Device Packaging. The conference will be held February 12–15, 2007 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Panelists will discuss what they see as the most critical, controversial, unclear, or restrictive elements of the ISO 11607 regulations. Panelists will also address test method validation, worst-case scenarios for package testing, and validations at the packaging supplier.
Randy Troutman joined Oliver Medical in 2006, having worked previously for Smith & Nephew, Medtronic, and Kimberly Clark. He is a Certified Packaging Professional and holds a B.S. in packaging and an MBA. Troutman is a member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals medical device packaging committee and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) packaging working group ISO/TC 198.
