Oliver's proprietary Xhale™ adhesive adds value
Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA...Oliver's proprietary Xhale™ adhesive with sure-seal DotCoat™ technology adds value and function to Tyvek®, Ovantex® and paper for roll stock, lid and pouch applications.
"Xhale adhesive technology uses a proprietary hot melt coating process to apply environmentally friendly, 100% solids to a substrate in a uniform dot pattern," said Jeff Murak, Oliver Medical director of marketing and sales. "Dots merge during sealing, providing a caulked effect for verification of a strong seal."
Xhale adhesive provides superior porosity (with breathability approaching uncoated Tyvek®), enabling medical device manufacturers to save money with accelerated EtO sterilization cycles and faster set-up and run speeds. Xhale also offers exceptional anchorage; superior humidity and condensation resistance; clean, smooth peelability; and no yellowing over time from exposure to UV light.
Standard water-based adhesives require much more pressure than Xhale and cause undue wear of sealing equipment; Xhale promotes longer packaging equipment life.
